On the way to Lysychansk they say “The way to hell” (The way to hell): The Russian army shoots at everything that moves there – on Tuesday afternoon too!
We left early in the morning to talk to the civilians in Lysychansk in eastern Ukraine, to see the devastation, to see for ourselves. The place is massively attacked by the Russian army and is under siege.
When we drive back at noon on the last road leading out of town, there will be an attack! Four explosions just meters in front of us. Shortly afterwards, more explosions sounded, and our window shattered.
