After this BILD reporter Paul Ronzheimer together with photographer Giorgos Moutafis and Vadim Moissenko, they wanted to leave Lyssychansk, which was almost surrounded by the Russian army, when the team was shot dead on the street at noon. There were several explosions.
All three are uninjured, the car window was destroyed by an explosion. Reporters predict mortar fire against the background of the explosions.
Russian troops are so close to the city of Lysychansk that journalists who want to report on the city, fleeing civilians and the Ukrainian army use one road in particular.

It is not clear whether the reporters were specifically targeted. The road to and from Lysychansk has been repeatedly attacked in recent weeks. A French reporter was killed two weeks ago during a shelling near Lysychansk.
Ronzheimer: “The attack again shows that the Russian army does not distinguish between military and civilian targets, but simply bombs everything.”
Nearly two dozen reporters have died since the start of Russia’s offensive war. (so)
