Berlin Aids-Hilfe is looking for reinforcements for Checkpoint BLN:

psychosocial counselor

part time (25.5-31.5 hours per week)
as soon as possible

Checkpoint BLN is a community contact point for all sexual health issues and is aimed at LGBTIQ * people. We offer PrEP, PEP, HIV / STI testing, sexual health and chemsex counseling and STI treatment. You can find much more information about our work and our offers on our homepage.

Your tasks at Checkpoint BLN would include:
● Pre- and post-test counseling on HIV / HCV and STI testing
– Advice on infection routes, disease progression and treatment options for HIV, STI and hepatitis
– Selection of appropriate tests and communication of test results
● Advice on pre- and post-exposure prophylaxis
● Prevention consulting
– Advice on safer sex, safer use and harm reduction
– Development of individual risk management strategies with the person seeking advice
● Recommendations for other specialized counseling and care offers
● Counseling series on sexual health and sexualization
● substance abuse
● Participation in team meetings and inter-project committees

We expect from you:
● (Fach) higher education in social work, pedagogy, public health or comparable
● Confidence in handling modern communication technology and software
● Language skills of German (B2 or higher) and English (B2 or higher)
● Combating racism and discrimination LGBTIQ *

We wish from you:
● Language skills in other languages
● belonging to the LGBTIQ * community or very good knowledge and strong connection with the LGBTIQ * community
● Good knowledge of HIV, STI, hepatitis, substance use, current prevention and harm reduction strategies
